the crope is a hat sculpture i made. it is an abstraction of a crow and a pope hat. the dove is a traditional depiction of the voice of god. i replaced the dove with a crow with multiple beaks. i enjoy that it is only a subtle connection to the pope hat and i think the menacing quality carries the tone of the work even if the content cannot be directly understood.
